In a strategic move, Moores, a highly successful part of the $12b, Fortune 500 Masco Corporation, has entered the independent retail kitchen market. It has acquired some product stock from PWC who is managing The Bernstein Group through administration. Moores also supply other high street retailers such as the John Lewis Partnership.
Peter Wilson, Chief Executive of Moores comments: “As part of a major strategic initiative we’ve been planning to move into the independent retail market with kitchens for some time. Moores is a well-established, market-leading kitchen brand and we already operate in the demanding retail sector under our bathroom furniture brand Shades. Expanding our kitchen business into the independent retail market was a logical move for us. Four Seasons and Lifestyle are well-known and well respected brands. They have strong distribution partners as well as loyal and hard working retailers. We felt they represented excellent well-established brands from which we can develop a robust retail channel over the coming years.
He continues: “BGH customers have understandably been concerned about outstanding orders for Four Seasons and Lifestyle branded products and also the future of the two brands. We want to stress that, with the two brands now under Moores' control, you can expect to see a significant improvement across all areas of the Four Seasons and Lifestyle brand offer. We’re committed to speedily commencing production of Four Seasons and Lifestyle branded products and, as you would expect from Moores, offering our customers the very best customer service..”
